Gearing Up for a Season of Thrills for Autohero's Third Year with DHB

The much-anticipated European Handball Championship 2024 has officially begun. We geared up alongside the German national teams as we stepped into our third year as main partner of the German Handball Association (DHB). We take a look back at the exceptional collaboration achievements that have brought the partnership to life.
Along with tremendous TV viewership during the Men's World Cup in early 2023, we gathered millions of views through exciting social media campaigns on our channels. These included entertaining challenges with the national players, rapid-fire interviews, and exclusive behind-the-scenes insights in the Roggisch Report. We were also present with onsite booths and conducted game ticket raffles within the community, fostering a connection that echoed the excitement of the matches. From concept to production, every facet of our initiatives was crafted in-house, showcasing the fantastic collaboration across multiple teams.
Julia Hüttemeister, our Team Lead Social Media, has observed a notable surge in Autohero’s social media engagement since our partnership with DHB. "The collaboration has been instrumental in amplifying our social media performance," she explains. "It's all about creating synergy and co-creating content that resonates with our audience, including handball fans and car enthusiasts. The initial outcomes from our campaigns around the Men's European Handball Championships are a testament to this strategy's effectiveness. We've seen a single Instagram Reel hit 300k+ views—a milestone we hadn't organically reached with any other content. The brand exposure adds to our existing partnership visibility, providing additional media value. We view these activities as an efficient marketing lever. This success fuels our excitement for future projects and motivates us to continue enhancing our collaborative efforts with DHB."
Furthermore, our commitment extends beyond recognition; it fosters unforgettable moments for the next generation. Last year, we orchestrated a remarkable experience for members of two youth handball clubs. The young enthusiasts walked hand in hand with DHB stars onto the pitch at the sold-out ZAG Arena in Hanover, captivating a sold-out crowd of over 10,300 fans for the match against Iceland.
As a vital aspect of our partnership with DHB, we proudly hold the role of Presenting Partner for handball.net, an inclusive platform that serves as a central hub for handball enthusiasts. This platform offers a diverse spectrum of handball information, catering to everyone from amateur league experts to those engaged in the 1st league. Notably, we launched the 'Hero of the Month' series, a nationwide commendation honoring the exceptional off-court contributions of handball players.
